ALRANZ (Abortion Law Reform Association of New Zealand) is a voluntary organisation that was formed in 1971. We want the law changed to allow New Zealanders free choice – to be able to choose whether to continue with a pregnancy or to obtain an abortion. At present this does not happen. For more information about ALRANZ, please visit our official website.
This blog is intended to increase awareness of, and encourage discussion about, New Zealand’s outdated abortion laws and other reproductive rights issues. We welcome contributions, so if you would like to become a regular contributor or would like to write a guest post (cross-posts welcome) email us.
Disclaimer: The views expressed on this blog represent the personal views of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views or position of ALRANZ. However, a careful effort will be made to ensure that no post is published that promotes or defends an anti-choice viewpoint.
